About Me

Hello, my name is Hector Rojas. I was born in Santiago, Chile, in 1969, and I consider myself a true renaissance man. My journey has taken me through diverse paths: I spent a brief period at the Chilean Air Force Academy, earned a BA in Industrial Design from Instituto Profesional de Santiago, and earned a BA in History and a Masters in History at Indiana University.
I have always been deeply fascinated by the Middle Ages, and my passion for heraldry has grown into both a personal and professional pursuit. What began as an intriguing and somewhat niche academic interest has evolved into my practice today. I specialize in creating and redesigning Coats of Arms for the discerning modern connoisseur. For those who appreciate the timeless artistry of heraldry, nothing distinguishes individuality quite like a personalized Heraldic Achievement.
Professionally, I am a long-standing member of the American Institute of Graphic Artists (AIGA) and the American Historical Association (AHA). I am also a Disabled US Army Veteran. In the realm of Heraldry, I am a registered member and a contributor/correspondent of the Royal Heraldry Society of Canada's Gonfanon newsletter, The Heraldry Society, and The Heraldry Society of Scotland, as well as an Associate Fellow of the International Association of Amateur Heralds (IAAH).
I was also published as a featured Heraldic Artist in BLAZOEN Heraldic Magazine of the Dutch Heraldry Society in 2021.
In most countries today, heraldry is not a legally regulated practice, with a few exceptions such as the United Kingdom and a handful of others. This means anyone can adopt Arms unique to their identity. I specialize in facilitating the conceptualization, design, and adoption of personalized Arms, tailoring each creation to reflect your interests, history, and aspirations.
